When will I see ads?

Free viewing has one video ad at the end of each episode, up to 15 seconds. It plays after the episode ends and before the next one starts. There are no ads in the middle of an episode. If no ad is available, the next episode starts right away.

The ad can be a global ad or one for viewers in your country, chosen at random. If a sponsor has booked that slot, you see the sponsor's ad.

TonTV is free to watch because of advertising. Ads are labelled as ads, and an ad is not a recommendation from TonTV.

How do rewarded ads work?

If you watch an eligible ad all the way through (our server counts an ad as watched when at least 80% of it has played), TP is added to your balance. The amount of TP and the daily limit are shown in the app. If you close an ad early, you get no TP for that ad. Once you reach the daily limit, ads still play but give 0 TP.

VIP skips these ads. A VIP member can also choose to watch rewarded ads for a higher reward.

You earn TP only when you watch an eligible ad all the way through. Watching episodes alone earns nothing. Daily limits reset at midnight Vietnam time (UTC+7).

Only our server decides whether TP is credited. A technical or fraud check can also mean 0 TP. More in the TP Policy.

Who provides the ads?

• TonTV ads, which we choose and serve ourselves, including ads that businesses buy from us through TonTV.
• Adsgram, an ad network for Telegram Mini Apps, used when switched on. Adsgram has its own privacy policy.

Advertisers get combined results, such as views and completed views. They don't get your name, Telegram handle, phone number or payment details.

Businesses that want to advertise on TonTV agree to separate advertising terms in the advertiser portal.

What data is collected for ads?

To show an ad and check that you watched it, TonTV and the ad partner may handle:

• the ad slot and the episode where it appeared, and the time;
• whether the ad played and finished, and the ad partner's result;
• your country or market;
• your device type and IP address, for delivery and fraud checks;
• an identifier such as your Telegram user ID or a random device ID.

We use this to give rewards, report to advertisers in combined form, limit abuse and improve how ads are delivered. We don't sell your personal data. More in the Privacy Policy.

Analytics, local storage and cookies

• In the Mini App, TonTV keeps a small amount of data on your device (for example, whether you're signed in, your language and a random device ID). It also records usage events, such as when a session starts and ends, videos watched, ad events, TP earned and onboarding steps. We do this to keep TonTV working and to improve it. Telegram's own tracking is covered by Telegram's privacy policy.
• On the website tontv.io, we use cookies and local storage for your language choice and for analytics. Website analytics can record page visits, interactions and browser or device information. These records are not necessarily anonymous. Our PostHog analytics does not start when your browser sends “Do Not Track”.
• Ad partners that run inside the Mini App may use the same device storage. We ask them to follow this page.

What choices do I have?

• Go VIP to skip the ads.
• Close an ad early if you wish. You just won't earn TP for it.
• Clear the Mini App's storage through Telegram, and use your browser settings or “Do Not Track” (which stops our PostHog analytics from starting) to limit website tracking.
• Ask us to delete the data we hold about you: see Delete Your Data.
• Complain to your data protection authority. The Privacy Policy says how.

How do I report an ad?

If an ad is illegal, misleading, inappropriate or unsafe, write to support@tontv.io with a screenshot and the time you saw it. We remove ads that break the law or our advertising rules.
